Flowers around the yard...

Today the guys are helping friends of ours move across town, so us girls are cleaning, watching all the kiddos {13 total}, and we're hosting the entire moving crew for a pizza lunch soon...fun! Today is my last day of [official] work for nearly 3 weeks {yay!}...next Tuesday I'll fly down to North Carolina ---> Tennessee for a couple of weeks to stay with Stef and Ethan, help Stef pack everything up, move it to TN, visit the Rodgers, and then drive home! Whew. =)

Only a couple more weeks of school for Sam, Seth, and Silas {well, they do school throughout the summer too, but it's usually a lighter load =)}, it'll soon be time to plant the majority of our garden {if it ever dries up enough, that is!}, and then it's yard sale season! And our best Canadian-friend will be here to stay with us for a couple of weeks... Best way to begin the summer!

So that's sort-of what's up with us. =)

Some of Skyler's recent photography... The last picture is what most of our yard looks like...covered in dandelions! =)

Drake Well

We live in Titusville...the birthplace of the Oil Industry. The other day Skyler biked to Drake Well, a museum only a couple of miles from our house, to take a few pictures...

CHAP Convention in Harrisburg

This year only Josh, Suzi, Skyler and I {Sara} went to the Homeschool Convention in Harrisburg...

Josh and Suzi were looking for curriculum for Anna for this upcoming school year and listened to a number of sessions by Steve DemmeKen Ham, and Mark Hamby to name a few. =)

While Skyler spent most of his time with friends in the IBLP booth and I mostly walked around talking on my phone, eating ice cream and taking random pictures, see? It's what I do best. ;)

We also enjoyed an awesome dinner with the IBLP and Chris Hogan groups {thanks Chad! =)}... It was nice just spending time getting to know new friends and catching up with old ones.  And since we tend to be rather out-of-the-loop on all things IBLP, we were eager to hear reports on the things God has been doing through the IBLP ministry in recent months.

{Just to prove he got some coffee after all. ;)}

We stayed overnight at Josh's grandpa's home in Lebanon, and then found our way to Martin's Fabric Barn {can't drive clear to Lancaster county and not make a stop there!} before heading back to the Farm Show Complex for a couple of hours... and then returning home again!

"I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised...This God--his way is perfect, the word of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God?--the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless." ~Psalm 18:3, 30, 31

Tennessee...after the wedding =)

The view of the river from the Rodger's back porch {or roof?...not sure which one =)}...

Canoeing on the river with Skyler, Beth Ellen, and Daniel

We decided that next time, if Skyler insisted on taking pictures every couple of minutes along our 8-mile canoe trip, he'd have to sit up front...since I did most of the paddling anyway. ;)

View of the Rodgers' back porch from the river as we ended our canoeing adventure

Before we left to return to PA, we spent a day in the Smoky Mountains, climbing trails and jumping on rocks

These rocks were terribly big and we had loads of fun jumping around on them =)

Mrs. Rodgers' mother joined us for the day as well...

These little rock piles were displayed alllll over the place...

Right before I fell into the water. ;) Yeah, not a good idea to jump around on wet rocks in flip-flops...

A mile up the trail towards Chimney Tops...only another mile to go!

This was the "easy" part of the trail. =)

And here it's a little trickier...

Alllmost at the top!

And the view...which Skyler said was definitely worth the treacherous climb...the rest of us wouldn't know since we stopped 3/4 of the way up. ;)
